I was born and live in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan.
In 2003, I began working as a peer consultant on chemical addiction and HIV in the Kazan public organization of relatives of drug addicts "Vera".
I went through a lot of different trainings on these topics. Subsequently, I graduated with a degree in teaching / psychology.
In 2006, I started working as a coordinator of HIV / AIDS prevention projects.
In 2009, I began working as a coordinator of the Ostrov, a low-threshold center for injecting drug users, implemented by the Prevention and Initiative public organization of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Since 2017, I have been the head of this organization (ROO "Prevention and Initiative" RT).
"Ostrov" continues its activities. From 1,500 to 1,700 people become clients of our organization per year. We actively conduct rapid HIV testing, including in places of detention. We provide assistance after release to people who have served sentences for crimes related to drug use.
